Drop Off Areas
Event Days
Reduced mobility guests can be dropped off directly in front of the venue on Olympic Boulevard in the designated drop off zone.
Sensory Inclusion
Sensory Room
John Cain Arena has partnered with KultureCity to improve our ability to assist and accommodate guests with sensory needs.
For guests with sensory needs, our Sensory Room is located in Suite 1 (via Lift 1).
Note: For further information and directions, please see staff at our Information Desk located opposite Door 2.
Sensory Bags
Sensory Bags containing special KCVIP badges, fidget tools, noise-cancelling headphones and other resources are available for checkout (at no cost by leaving an ID) at our Information Desk located opposite Door 2.
Weighted Lap Pads
Weighted Lap Pads are also available upon request (at no cost by leaving an ID) at our Information Desk located opposite Door 2.

Ramps & Access
Guests with reduced mobility can access Melbourne & Olympic Park venues via Olympic Boulevard or the Rod Laver Arena and John Cain Arena tram stops.
There are ramps throughout the precinct, as well as lifts in all venues, and all turnstiles have an accessible entry option for those who need it.
In-Venue Services & Facilities
Guests with reduced mobility can access the following in-venue accessibility services:
- Wheelchair accessible seating bays in all venues. These bays have wheelchair space with a spare seat alongside for a friend or relative.
- Braille buttons available in lifts, while internal Arena lifts are serviced by patron staff.
- Accessible toilets with larger and wider cubicles, available throughout all venues.
- Changing Places toilets in John Cain Arena, beside the Information Desk and in Rod Laver Arena, at Door 7. Guests can use their MLAK to access these facilities or collect a key from the venue Information Desk.
- Available FM Transmitters which work across the seating bowls of all Arenas. These can be collected from the venue Information Desk.
Special Effects
Events at John Cain Arena may contain sequences of flashing lights, laser, strobe, haze and pyrotechnics which may affect guests who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or other photo sensitivities and medical conditions.
