Audiences have loved Arijit Singh’s soulful voice even before they knew his name.
Now that Singh has gone from being a skilled playback performer in the Bollywood film world to a star in his own right, there’s no overlooking the remarkable talent of the most streamed musical artist in India.
In the six years since the former contestant on Fame Gurukul experienced his breakthrough with “Tum Hi Ho” from Aashiqui 2 (a No. 1 hit on MTV India for seven weeks, Singh has worked with the biggest talents in India and won more than 50 major awards.

About arijit singh
Born in 1987 in West Bengal, Arijit Singh was raised in a Punjabi/Bengali family that encouraged the boy’s burgeoning musical interests.
His early studies in tabla and Indian classical music led to him winning a scholarship to study singing at the age of 9.
While still a teenager, he first made an impression to wider audiences as a contestant on the reality show Fame Gurukul.
